For those dogs whose owners want their dog to have the best of everything.

These suites are set up as full bedrooms with

bed (human single, double or twin),

arm chair or lounge,

reverse cycle air-conditioning,

garden views,

wall prints and wall paper border,

fully tiled,

automatic water drinkers,

and special diet requirements.

Each suite is 3m x 3.6m (10ft x 12ft).

A normal kennel with tiled floor,

Each run is 1.2m x 2.6m (3.5ftx 8.8ft)

ALL PETS ARE HOUSED INDIVIDULLY IN THE BACKPACKERS, EVEN PETS FROM THE SAME FAMILY ARE UNABLE TO SHARE ACCOMODATION, BUT WE WILL TRY AND PLACE YOUR PETS SIDE BY SIDE .

 

Exercise


Tiggy & Zest at Play in the yards

For the safety of your pet they are not exercised with other animals, unless owners request that pets from the same family exercise together.
Each pet is run two to three times a day in our large hygienic grassed yards exercise yards for a minimum of 1/2 hour.
And don't forget you always have the one on one human playtime option available to you.

Requirements

To ensure the full protection of all pets staying at the Retreat each one MUST be fully vaccinated.
Verification that vaccinations have been completed is required and we ask you to present the last two concurrent certificates, before or at, the time of boarding for all new boarders.
Dogs and cats that have not been previously vaccinated MUST have a C5 vaccination 14 days prior to entry and cats an F3.
All annual vaccinations must be completed at least seven days prior to commencement of boarding and verification must be presented upon entry.
All animals must be on current flea & tick prevention (Advantix, Frontline or Proban)

Meals

Tarraray feeds a combination of Pedigree Performance Adult and barf diet (this is home cooked meals of rice, veggies and fresh mince). We do offer special meals to our guests staying in the Deluxe Suites - just ask and we will try and complete your requests.
Take home packs of our home cooked meals are available in store.
We recommend natural diets and can supply wet meats and meals

Special Needs and Medications

Tarraray Pet Retreat specialises in those dogs that have special requirements. This may be as simple as old age, arthritis, deafness, but may also be a matter of convalescing after an operation or any other medical condition (e.g. epilepsy or diabetes).
Due to the warmth and comfort found in our accommodation it extremely suitable and comfortable for these special need dogs.
All full time staff are trained as vet nurses and are fully aware and capable of administration of medication and treatment of medical conditions.
Even "Tilly" - Jenine's own dog suffers from epilepsy and incontinence and is definitely a special need dog.
As the owners are long term registered breeders of Belgian Shepherds, all staff are fully aware of bitches in season. There is no possibility that whilst bitch is staying at Tarraray that it will come in contact with unwanted males.
Tarraray Specialises in boarding Dogs NSW member’s pedigree bitches to ensure that no unwanted matings occur.

Vets and Health

Health checks are a priority with the staff at the Retreat. All dogs are checked individually twice daily.
All veterinarians in the local district are on 24 hour call. If we are unable to contact your own vet in the case of an emergency another shall be called. In the case of an emergency every effort will be made to contact you prior to veterinary treatment.
