How to Groom a Cat
Grooming cats can be time consuming and requires patience. An uncooperative 5kg cat is equal to an uncooperative 30kg dog.
Cats may often require a second groomer to control the pet.
Grooming cats can be dangerous. A cat bite is much more serious than a dog bite.  Groomers have even lost fingers due to infection from cat bites.  One good cat bite and a groomer is out of work.

Safety and Comfort
Those groomers that do work with cats often do it badly.  Many will use a groomer's loop around a cat's neck, which is a terrible strangling risk on a cat.  They will groom cats in the presence of barking dogs, multiple noisy driers, loud music and other frightening sounds and smells. They will use dog washing techniques on cats, which produce poor results.  They will leave a wet cat shivering on a counter, surrounded by dogs, waiting to be dried.  They will cage dry to avoid handling a very stressed out and frightened cat.

The Complete Bath
We'll start by cleaning inside your cat's ears with an animal-approved ear cleaning solution.  We'll trim their nails and completely comb and/or brush out their coat prior to their bath.  This is then followed with a thorough warm water bath.
We shampoo and rinse twice, using only cat-safe products, to ensure your kitty is really clean.  You'll have a choice of a wide variety of quality shampoos including deep cleaning, hypoallergenic (with colloidal oatmeal and aloe), medicated and more!  We'll rinse them completely removing all shampoo residue.  Then they are carefully hand dried and blow dried if required. We'll end with a finishing brush out.

Trimming and Styling
Cats can be attractively trimmed and styled for a number of reasons.  Many owners of long haired cats like to have them trimmed to prevent matting and help the cat stay cleaner longer.  Trims can also help your cat be more comfortable in the heat of summer and assist with the searching for paralysis ticks.
We can do a discrete tummy trim, a sleek all-over or a stylish lion cut.
